Although one may try to use some tools or carry out some means for quick response and result, it is to be assured that these means do not deteriorate the standard specified by Google.

The backlinks through which promise quick results may work well for a short term but ultimately they will delay the incoming traffic to your site. The link will become less visible in the search engine.

• Before accepting a link, make sure that the site is genuine and has valid page ranking. The cache date on Google should also be recent.

• Make sure that the amount of traffic hitting your site and the number of links match. Never let the link quantity burst within short duration. Don’t allow more than 5-10 acquired links unless there are 500 or more visitors every day. The backlinks to your site should be similar to the amount of traffic that you get. This will ensure a strong link building strategy.

• It is quite often seen that backlinks are made according to the Page Rank but that should not be the case. The backlinks should provide a complete link building solution.

• The generic keyword doesn’t help much in link building. These keywords do not cater to specific needs but are more general in nature. This doesn’t help the searcher in finding what he actually wants to buy. Thus, they don’t help in the sale of the item much.

• The keyword search should be done elaborately to find a partner website for link building. The higher placed keywords of your niche market will have more competition. The websites for these keywords will be your main competitor thus it will be futile to find link partners the more common keywords.
• Your link should be to the page where your own listings are found, rather than to the home page of the directory.

• There is no need to create a “links page” where you submit extra information or recommended sources links. That is an unnecessary exercise which will only waste your time and effort.

• Three way links are not encouraged at all. So much so that, search engines like Google are discounting the three way links completely. Therefore, don’t get carried away by this kind of multi way linking plans.
