How Do You Get First Page Ranking Position For Google, Yahoo, and Bing (MSN)

It is a common thing for many website owners to aim for the goal of targeting the first page ranking position on Google, Yahoo, MSN (now Bing), and all other major search engines out there. There is no better achievement for a website owner than to get the top most spot for a particular keyword search result listing. Accomplishing such a goal is equivalent to free advertising that could have been several thousands of dollars in amount.

Imagine getting hundreds of people visiting your website continuously day and night without ever paying a single cent for any single one of them. Yes, that’s clearly how powerful it is to rank your website on top of all these major search engines most particularly Google, Yahoo, and Bing.

Now the question is, how do you accomplish such a goal?

Well, the answer is really simple and yet not that easy to put into action. If you have been a website owner for quite sometime now, then lucky for you, at least you have the basic knowledge to at least understand the simplest requirements to rank a website on top of the search engine pages. However,  if you are still a fairly new internet marketer, then expect that you will need to exert a little bit more effort in terms of understanding certain procedures and some technical aspects involved within the entire search engine optimization process flow.

So, let me go ahead and give you the most basic requirements that you need to undertake in order to bring your site there on the top most position in the search engine result listings.

On-Page (SEO) Search Engine Optimization

First, you will need to optimize your website pages, its content and overall structure like the links, image tags, and main text of the body content. This is what’s called the on-page optimization. If you buy a book about search engine optimization, I am quite sure that you will get confused. That is because there is just too much technical stuff involved in the entire process of SEO.

In my case, I learned SEO through actual experience and application plus a dozen of experimenting and case studies. I also read books but I don’t force myself to ingest all the information in my system all at one time. I believe this is the proper way of really learning SEO. After all, search engine optimization itself is a long, slow, and complicated process – but let me correct that last word “complicated”. It is indeed complicated only at first. But as you go along and begin to see the entire picture, then things become much simpler for you in the long run.

Off-Page (SEO) Search Engine Optimization

Now this is my favorite part of SEO. I believe it is also the most important part of the entire process. Off-page optimization is simply the process of establishing your website’s reputation in the eyes of the search engines by getting referrals from other websites. In other words, you want other websites to vote for your website. This is a way for search engines to recognize your site as a legitimate one since other established websites are making referrals to it.

But how do you get other sites to refer to your website?

Simply by creating links from these other websites and pointing those links toward your site. Of course you can simply write your website address and that is already considered a link pointing to your website since when you click that link it automatically directs the visitor to your website.

However, it’s not really that simple. You have to use anchor texts when linking back to your website. Instead of just typing your website address, you will be using clickable keywords to link to your website. For example if your website is about learning seo, you will be using the keyword “Learning SEO” as the clickable text linking to your website. Here is a standard html syntax to use in order to create a clickable keyword text (don’t mind the asterisks): **<a href=”www.typeyoursitenamehere.com”>Learning SEO</a>**. So there you go, you now have a clickable link pointing toward your website.

Now you are on your way to dominating the top search ranking positions on Google, Yahoo, Bing (MSN) and all other major search engines anytime you want.
